From Cindy our Delaware rep mcbarc@ILCDover.com We are expecting our third child in 8 weeks...Our second child was born at 35 weeks due to HELLP. He is now two and is a wonderful boy. We are expecting a girl the fourth week of March. I have had no problems this time. I also have not gotten gestational diabetes this time either which I did have with my soon. I will be having a c-section since my other two where c-section.
From Melissa mvaswani@scgov.net (Venice, FL) Just wanted to keep you updated on the progress of my pregnancy. Yesterday I had a fetal growth ultrasound and the baby is approx. 6 lbs! I am only 35 weeks, so the doctor said the baby is actually ahead of schedule! I am so excited. All my lab work has been great and no more protein in my urine! A high-risk doctor came in to see me since I was at their office for the ultrasound. She told me that in 10 days I would be 37 weeks and she would see no reason to let me go much further than that. So, I don't know what my regular OB will say, but I may have a baby sooner than I thought! I am so glad I won't have to deal with prematurity issues again! My bps are staying right around 140/ high 80s and low 90s. So, I may not even have to have magnesium sulfate after delivery! I feel so blessed. Thanks for all your support! I will send a picture when she arrives!
From Suzie suzanneg@canadiansaddlery.com (Ontario, Canada) I just wanted to update the HELLP Syndrome Society with our news. My husband and I are expecting our 2nd child in July. Our first was born in September 2001, 4 weeks early as a result of severe HELLP. I am 16 weeks along and so far all is well. Please pray for us! We are excited about having another yet very anxious at the same time.... I'm sure you all can relate.
From Kara ksvl07@yahoo.com (Cypress, TX) I just wanted to share with everyone that I'm now 19 weeks along with my second! We found out yesterday that it's another boy! My blood pressure is low, and the swelling is minimal. They discovered that I have placenta previa, but so far it doesn't seem to be causing a problem. I feel extremely confident that my maternal-fetal specialist will keep a close watch on us. I'll be thrilled if I can carry this baby farther than 33 weeks and HELLP free! I'll keep you posted on our progress!
From Aaron and Melissa and kiddos!!! melissaj461@aol.com (Wichita, KS) All remains well with baby and mom. I gained 5 pounds in three weeks and now weigh 103 and a half. The anxiety is better, I think. As of today we are 21 weeks pregnant. I am taking hormone shots and hope to remain HELLP free and continue the pregnancy to at least 37 weeks. As always we are grateful for your continued support and prayers. The kindness and love we have received has sustained us during the past two tumultuous years. As we continue to struggle with the loss of Madolin and David, as well as other losses in our families, we hope for brighter days. We will continue to keep you posted on our pregnancy, and we continue to pray for a healthy baby boy in early June!!
From Sue s2walsh@yahoo.com (Worcester, MA) My husband and I are very excited to be expecting our second child in early April. I developed HELLP Syndrome at 38 weeks during my last pregnancy and delivered a healthy, 5 pound baby girl by emergency C-section. We have decided to have a repeat c-section this time and my doctor plans to schedule it for just a couple of days before I'm due.
