Brief
History: This company was producing
soldiers and other models since 1893 in England. They are well known world round. A meticulously detailed version of the military
horse units complete with bugler, flag carrier, lieutenant, sabres, and many more all
mounted on black horses except for the officers which rode white horses. Helmets help designate rank and position. They have been made of metal and plastic and
resins unknown. Still found in toy stores and finer department stores.
Author
comments: The horses are similar but the rider or draping
varies. Most of the horses I've seen have been in brigades and are identical and seen in
the example I included in this book. The vinyl horses are a recent acquisition from a toy
store in Columbus and the knights with metal stands were from another country. They are always detailed and have many
accessories, which encourages the play value.
