My brother and I trooped around Hungary and Romania during the summer of 1998. It was a challenging and rewarding trip, fascinating in part because traveling there was almost inconceivable when we were growing up. Here are some pictures. Click here for pictures from my 1995 trip to Greece.
Although I haven't had much interest in keeping this part of the site up to date, I feel compelled to point out that I have taken some interesting trips since 1998, and even some interesting pictures. I just haven't felt much like posting them, plus I still like these.

Ah, the view from the hotel window. Always a classic. The older architecture in Bucharest is French-inspired. The newer (commie-era) architecture is crap. Yes, we left the hotel, I just love this picture. |
